I started a new job not all that long ago (around 5 months ago for those that don't know me). I really didn't know if it was going to work out... and I guess now I do feel like I am really starting to fit in. There is a space of time that I call the "Dead Zone" around the holidays, usually starts around the last week of November, and ends in the first week of January. During this time, not a whole lot (anywhere by anyone in my opinion) gets done. I really feel like this is a time for me to get on top of my workload, and make sure that my future months will be more manageable. I have met a few really nice people at my current location (the job I have is primary support at my home site, and secondary when things get hectic at other locations). I have received my clearance to start working at the other locations this week, which should mean more money. I make very good money for my age (and education), but I always seem to be needing more to get the things that I want (maybe the things I want are getting more costly?).... anyway.... I am hoping that I can start to do a bit more work with my second job (extremely infrequent work with a consulting company). I picked up a nasty habit this last year that is tending to dictate my spending habits.... racing. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to head down to the track and race guys in my class, (after I have spent literally THOUSANDS of dollars prepping the car) and still get cleaned up by drivers that have spent what my whole car is worth... just on their suspension setups.... I guess I figured this much at entry... I just didn't expect it to be so extreme.... anyway... enough boring stream of consciousness typing. Thanks for stopping by!
